Information for Members
The Subbranch meets at 7pm on the first Tuesday of the month, except June, July, August and January.
The Club opens at 4pm, 6 nights a week with meals and raffles on Friday nights from 5.45pm.
Sub Branch History
The Monto RSL Subbranch was charted in 1929 only (5) five years after the area was thrown open to closer settlement. The branch was formed by retired soldiers from World War (1) One when the district opened up to farming families and the railway extended to Monto from Maryborough and also Gladstone.
The Club incorporated on 2nd May 2008, now known as, Monto RSL Subbranch INC.
The Club was H.Q. to supervise Italian P.O.W.’s 1944-45 which were stationed on most farms in the District. Photos included past internal of the Diggers room which holds our photographs and memorability.
